Man sought after knife attack in Paphos

Police are looking for a motorcyclist who injured and robbed a man in Paphos on Sunday.

Police are looking for a motorcyclist who injured and robbed a man in Paphos on Sunday.

The 23-year-old man told police that while he was walking to a parking place he was followed by a 37-year-old man on a motorbike who had an unknown female as a passenger.

He allegedly pulled a knife when the young man tried to get away, followed him and attacked him with his helmet, hitting his body and head.

He then pulled a gold-plated chain worth €80 from his neck and fled.

The victim visited the A&E department of the Paphos hospital where he was diagnosed with bruises and an injury to his right shoulder.

An arrest warrant was issued against the 37-year-old and he is wanted.
