First picture of teenager, 18, who plunged to his death on busy road
A teenager who was killed after falling onto a busy road has been named as 18-year-old Devon Locker.
The teen, from Longton, plunged onto the A50 on the outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent, on Friday morning at around 9am.
He died after being struck by vehicle on the eastbound carriageway by the Foley Road interchange, reports StokeonTrent Live.
Staffordshire Police is investigating the circumstances around his death and is appealing for witnesses.
His family are being supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time, the force said.
The teenager was named by police as officers appealed for witnesses to come forward in a statement.
The statement from the force, shared on Monday (Oct 5), read: “Officers investigating the death of a teenager on the A50 last week are appealing for witnesses.
“Eighteen-year-old Devon Locker from Longton was killed after being hit by a vehicle – having fallen onto the eastbound carriageway by the Foley Road interchange on Friday 2 October at around 9am.
“Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident and are appealing for anyone who may have travelling on the Foley Road interchange roundabout or on the westbound carriageway at the time to get in touch.
“Anyone with dashcam footage or any information is asked to email email@example.com or call 101 quoting incident 136 of 2 October.”
