A GoFundMe page set up to support Mia’s family states: “This is Mia Strothers, she is a beautiful, kind and very much loved 14 year old who had her whole life in front of her.
“Mia was simply going to school that day like any other, as you can imagine her family are inconsolable and struggling to come to terms with how their precious girl has become an angel at such a young age.
“Although at present all they want is to grieve in peace we want to ensure the family are supported financially to prepare to give Mia the best send off that a princess deserves.
“I am therefore trying to raise funds to support the family at this extremely difficult time.
“I know it’s a hard time for everyone money wise however this could happen to any of us therefore I am asking for you to please donate no matter how big or small to support this beautiful family.”
The page had raised more than £6,500 within two hours.
Devastated friends have paid tribute to Mia on social media.
A woman wrote on Facebook: “Absolutely heartbroken, this is dreadful news. RIP Mia. Poor little darling, thoughts are with all family and friends.
