Archaeological site of Amathus closed due to COVID-19 confirmed cases
The Antiquities Department is announcing that the Archaeological site of Amathus will remain closed to the public as of 5 April and until further notice.
The decision was made after COVID-19 confirmed cases were found among the staff working at the specific area.
The Antiquities Department is apologizing for any inconvenience caused by the decision, which is however seen as necessary in order to protect public health.
